When buying a Union Engineering CO2 plant, we can supply different kinds of control solutions and installations, depending on the plant type. CO2 plants <1000 kg/hIn order to achieve the most reliable control solutions in CO2 plants less than 1000 kg/h, the installations are to a great extent based on standardisation. Electrical process controls supplied by Union Engineering are thoroughly tested, minimising on-site test and commissioning time. CO2 plants >1000 kg/hCO2 plants with a capacity of larger than 1000 kg/h are often built according to pre-defined operating conditions and customer requirements. In this case Union Engineering can offer great experience in designing the control philosophy according to the desired specifications. These CO2 plants are always divided into several skids and the installation for instruments can be made in different ways depending on the plant design. The instrumentation can be pre-wired to junction boxes or to remote I/O panels. A combination of the two is also used. Another option is to use Profibus or Fieldbus instrumentation for analogue instrumentation. Hardware configurationsAll Union Engineering plants are PLC controlled via an operator interface system. PLC hardwareIn general all plants supplied by Union Engineering are PLC controlled. This gives easy access to change operational parameters if required.
The above mentioned PLC's can be combined with hardware for remote I/O, Profibus or Fieldbus systems. Operator interfacesTo make operation of the plants easy and logical, all plant control is done from an operator interface system.
Scada systemsIf a more advanced operator interface system is required, a PC based system, Fix DMAC, is an option. Using a PC based operator interface system opens up a lot of possibilities such as graphic plant lay-out in colour with mouse operated functions, trend curves for pre-chosen parameters, change of alarm, trip set points, operation set points, timers, PID regulators etc. directly from the plant screen by activating icons on the screen. ![]() ![]() | |
